In April of 2024, YoungBoy Never Broke Again aka NBA YoungBoy aka Kentrell DeSean Gaulden (YB), was arrested in Utah on drug, weapons and other charges.

It is also alleged that he violated his house arrest provisions from an earlier case.

The arrest came after a search warrant of his home was carried out local police, the FBI and Homeland.

The police claim that YB demonstrated a pattern of unlawful activity.

Immediately after his arrest, no bond was set and he was help in custody.

YB received a total of six charges: two Class 2 Felonies — weapon possession by a restricted person, effecting a pattern of unlawful activity as well as possessing or attempting to possess drugs or prescriptions, identity fraud forgery and possession of other controlled substances.

YB was under house arrest in Utah while preparing for a felony trial in Baton Rouge for gun possession in federal court.

That charge came about after a 2020 music video production in an abandoned unimproved lot where he was charged with possessing two firearms.

In 2022, YB was found not guilty for possession a firearm in LA.

YB has maintained that he has joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Machine Gun Kelly (MGK) aka Richard Colson Baker is a rapper, singer, songwriter and actor.

Mod Sun aka Derek Ryan Smith is also a rapper and is a author, rock musician, painter and poet.

In October of 2020, Kelly and Sun were seen, probably intoxicated driving in West Hollywood, California.

By accident, Kelly kicked out the windshield of Sun’s Mercedes G Wagon.

Kelly was not subtle about what was happening as he drank from a huge metal martini glass boasting a decorative pink cotton candy accoutrement.

As the music resounded at high volume, Kelly could be seen air drumming against the console.

At times, the Mercedes would stop to allow Kelly to sign autographs.

No one in the Mercedes wore the required mask.

The police did not stop the motorists.

Kelly later apologized to his fans.

Jason Mitchell is a star in Straight Out of Compton.

In April of 2020, Mitchell was stopped for careless driving in Mississippi.

Mitchell was moving his family to a better location to weather the quarantine.

Mitchell represented that he was driving a friend’s rental car at the time.

Law enforcement searched the rental vehicle and found some firearms, 2 pounds of marijuana and 1,300 doses of MDMA.

Mitchell denied any knowledge of the firearms or the drugs.

Mitchell was using the friend’s rental car to cut down his potential exposure to Covid-19.

Mitchell was driving to his mother’s house.

Mitchell plays Easy-E in Straight out of Compton.

Mitchell was charged with possession with intent to distribute drugs and possession of a firearm by a felon.

Robert Leo Farrelly Jr. aka Bobby Farrelly is a well known film director, screenwriter and producer.

Bobby Farrelly is one of the directing and producing Farrelly brothers; Peter is his brother.

Bobby helped produce and direct Dumb and Dumber, Shallow Hal, Me, Myself and Irene, There’s Something about Mary and Stuck on You among other films.

In January, 2020, Bobby was stopped by Idaho police for having no taillights visible and failing to use a turn signal.

Police everywhere use any reason possible to stop drivers to smell them in the hopes of developing a DUI or DWI arrest.

Bobby explained that the vehicle he was driving was a rental and he was not familiar with how to activate the taillights.

Bobby denied drinking.

The officer claimed that Bobby’s eyes were red and glassy and that his speech was slurred.

Bobby refused the roadside gymnastics that he would not be allowed to pass on his best day, in the daylight, on a perfect surface even with a fair administration of the tests.

Bobby got arrested; just not after looking stupid at roadside doing trick tests designed to make the subject look stupid.

Boxer Errol Spence, Jr. Arrested

Boxer Errol Spence Jr. is the unified welterweight boxing Champion for both IBF and WBC.

Spence represented the United States in the 2012 Olympics and made it to the quarter finals.

ESPN listed Spence as its prospect of the year for 2015.

In October of 2019, Spence was charged with drunk driving when he flipped his Ferrari over and was thrown from the vehicle.

Miraculously, Spence was released from a Dallas, Texas hospital the day after the crash.

Police indicated that on October 10, 2019 Spence was navigating home from a nightclub at a high rate of speed before the roll over.

The Ferrari crossed the median into opposing traffic before rolling over multiple times.

Spence suffered cuts to his face.

Security videos showed the Ferrari 488 Spider convertible crashing.

NC BCBS CEO gets traffic charge

In October of 2019, Patrick Conway, the former head of BCBS of NC, was found guilty of DUI and child abuse.

Dr. Conway was involved in a car crash in June of 2019; his two minor daughters were in the car; he had been consuming alcohol.

The Court found Dr. Conway guilty after a two hour trial in the Randolph County Courthouse in Asheboro, NC.

Dr. Conway rear ended a Harris Teeter Tractor Trailer on Interstate 85; fortunately no one was injured.

Dr. Conway was forced to resign as CEO of NC’s BCBS after North Carolina’s Insurance Commissioner accused the BCBS Board of Trustees of covering up the arrest.

There was also financial pressures from a Cambia Health Solutions’ decision not to work with BCBS while Conway was CEO.

According to WRAL, the charges against Conway have also prompted Blue Cross to put a proposed “strategic affiliation” with Cambia Health Solutions on hold.

Witnesses stated that:

“It wasn’t a matter of if, but when” the SUV would crash, Maddox said, noting that they recorded the SUV was swerving from lane to lane for 4 miles, almost colliding with several vehicles. “We knew something was going to happen.”

Police reported that Dr. Conway had bloodshot eyes, smelled of an alcoholic beverage and had balance problems.

Dr. Conway told police that he had worked late and was falling asleep.

Dr. Conway foolishly agreed to take the standardized field tests designed to make the Accused look drunk that no one can pass.

Dr. Conway reported told Officers:

“‘You had a choice. You could have let me go. You don’t know who I am. I am a doctor, a CEO of a company. I’ll call Governor Cooper and get you in trouble,” Conway said. Reports also indicated that Conway also asked multiple times for officers to “just unarrest him and let him go,” the report states.

Dr. Conway released a statement:

“I deeply regret this incident and the events that day as it is not consistent with the conduct that I strive to embody in my personal and professional life. I am taking this very seriously and am committed to dealing with the situation appropriately,”

Dr. Conway’s job paid him almost 3.6 million dollars a year.

Anyone can get charged with a traffic charge even state legislators. In early July, 2015 Alabama State Senator Cam Ward was arrested for driving under the influence. Ward was stopped and jailed in Shelby County, Alabama. Ward is a Republican and represents District 14 which consists of portions of Shelby, Clilton, Jefferson, Bibb and Hale Counties. To make the entire matter worse, Ward is the chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee.

Ward joined the Senate after the November 2010 election. Prior to that election, Ward has been in the Alabama House of Representatives for two terms. Ward was re-elected in November 2014. Ward is an attorney, having attended law school at Cumberland School of Law and joining the Alabama Bar in September of 1996.

Hopefully Ward understood that making statements to law enforcement is always a mistake. Ward, as an attorney, would have understood that he had the right to remain silent and that he had the right to counsel while being questioned. Ward would also have known that he did not have to consent to being searched through the roadside field tests or the roadside preliminary breath tester.
